Thanks to their perforated base, you can also use the tubs outside the refrigerator as colanders. The water used to wash food quickly drips away due to the drainage effect of the holes. This makes it possible to wash freshly purchased food in a sorting tub before instantly cooking with it or storing it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it.
